Hearing tests
Hearing tests comprise subjective and objective examinations. The former include hearing distance testing, tuning fork testing and audiometry; the latter include tympanometry, stapedius reflex measurement, auditory brainstem response testing and OAE testing (measurement of otoacoustic emissions).
To detect and treat possible hearing disorders in babies immediately, newborn hearing screening using OAE testing is routinely performed within the first 2 to 4 days of life.
Hearing aid prescriptions
If your hearing test shows that you need a hearing aid, we will provide the necessary prescription.
Ear pressure measurement
If you experience persistent pressure in your ears, an ear pressure measurement is recommended. This allows the ENT specialist to diagnose impaired pressure equalisation and provide appropriate treatment.
Measurement of otoacoustic emissions
To detect and treat possible hearing disorders in babies immediately, newborn hearing screening using OAE testing is routinely performed within the first 2 to 4 days of life.
Endoscopy
During an endoscopy, the ENT specialist inserts a tube equipped with a light source and camera, or a magnifying laryngoscope, into the relevant body opening. The examination is performed while the patient is awake.
We offer modern endoscopy of the nose and paranasal sinuses as well as laryngeal endoscopy using a magnifying laryngoscope or a thin flexible endoscope inserted through the nose - also for children.
Allergy diagnostics and treatment
Nasal symptoms in particular are often caused by allergies. Immediate allergic reactions can be identified using a skin prick test. If necessary, the ENT specialist will then carry out further examinations.
Tumour diagnostics
Some symptoms affecting the throat, nose or ears may be caused by tumours. If a tumour is suspected, we provide comprehensive diagnostic testing using laryngoscopic and endoscopic procedures as well as ultrasound examinations.
